Leesburg painted the first bike Lanes in Loudoun County in August of 2015. Now there are signed Blue and Green Routes connecting the W&OD with downtown, Ida Lee Park, Balls Bluff and the Village at Leesburg.
Find out where the new bike routes will be located to get to and from the Ashburn and Loudoun Gateway Metro Stations
Riders will be able to extend their W&OD Ride past Purcellville with a new Shared Use Bike Path to Round Hill via Franklin Park.
Stay tuned for Signed Routes around scenic Western Loudoun. We are working with the County Transportation Department to sign a route to connect the Towns of Hillsboro, Round Hill, Purcellville, Hamilton, Waterford and Lovettsville.
For those who are up for a bit of an adventure and challenge on fatter tires, Loudoun County has more gravel roads than any other county in Virginia. Gravel roads are less traveled, quiet and beautiful to ride.
