Franklin Park to P'ville Trail Public Info Meeting, June 7th, 7:00 PM

Franklin Park to Purcellville Trail
Public Information Meeting Regarding Alignment Options

Please join Supervisor Buffington (Blue Ridge District)  to discuss the proposed Franklin Park to Purcellville Trail alignment options (options #1A and #1B) on Wednesday, June 7th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, for a public information meeting at Emerick Elementary School (440 Nursery, Purcellville, VA 20132).

Representatives of the Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI) will present and discuss alignment options for the proposed bicycle-pedestrian trail. The public will be given the opportunity to submit their comments in writing for staff to consider. The approximately 1.1 mile trail is planned to go from Franklin Park to the vicinity of West Main Street and South 32nd Street in Purcellville.

The Board of Supervisors approved funds to perform an alignment study and preliminary engineering for the trail in Fiscal Year 2015.  Based on the adopted Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Improvement Program, funds to acquire right-of-way and to construct the trail are planned for Fiscal Year 2022.

If you are unable to attend this meeting but would like to submit your input or if you would like more information about the project, please contact Gary Pozzouli of DTCI by email at Gary.Pozzouli@loudoun.gov.
